Real Madrid has expressed gratitude to Pepe on his retirement on its official website. Real Madrid issued a message for Pepe on its official website saying that Pepe was a part of Real Madrid from 2007 to 2107. Such a decade where he won a lot with the club.
Real Madrid claimed that in these 10 seasons Pepe won 14 titles to his name.
Apart from this while praising Pepe they also wrote that Pepe was also one of the greatest footballers of Portugal national team. Where he won one Euro cup and Nations league.

Pepe started his club career with Porto FC in 2004. After that, on 10 July 2007, Real Madrid signed him and gave him a contract of 5 years. After this contract ended in 2011, Pepe extended his contract with Real Madrid till the end of 2015-16 season.
After getting free from Real Madrid in 2017, Pepe was signed by Turkish Super League’s Besiktas on 4 July 2017.
On 8 January 2019, Pepe returned to his old club Porto and became the club captain in 2020. There, he extended this contract till 2023. And recently he has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 41.
